If you could give more than 5 stars I would. It is absolutely my favorite restaurant, where I am always sure to find good, rich and tasty things, the staff is friendly and makes you feel at home, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail; very good first courses with first choice ingredients, a vast selection of wines and drinks, not to mention the homemade desserts that never disappoint. Since there is a playground I can leave the children there to have fun while I enjoy dinner; even if it looks like a tourist restaurant they make you feel at home. Personally I ate outside under the umbrellas and there wasn't even a mosquito, which isn't a given given that there were quite a few in other places. I recommend the hugo lady XL, the spaghetti carbonara, datterino tomatoes with stracciatella and ragù, the chef's pie, the beef tartare, the ape maia and the gran pergola. Every year that I go on holiday to Cavallino I know I can count on them, they are truly fantastic. We were guests there with 4 adults and 6 children between the ages of 3 and 10. I made a reservation by phone and it worked without any problems. We could choose between two tables, right in the hustle and bustle, or a little further away near the playground. We decided to be close to the playground. The service was really very friendly. There was no stress, we were able to choose our drinks and food in peace (which is actually difficult with children). After our order, we were served bread with a fruity tomato sauce. Very tasty and a good start to the evening. The drinks and food were brought quickly. We had pizza, pasta and mussels. It was really incredibly tasty and the portions were generous! Even the pizza from the children's menu (including a small gift ) was a decent size. It was really a wonderful evening. The friendliness of the staff, the taste of the food, the size of the portions and also the price absolutely convinced us. We can definitely recommend La Pergola. Please don't let the touristy nature put you off. Because let's be honest, that's why you're in Cavallino-Treporti.
