I love this place! I had walked past it and ignored it for years, as it looks rather dodgy from the outside. But the moment I stepped inside between Christmas and NYE 2023, I was whisked away to Paris and found myself arrive in a charming tiny bistro and being served wonderful food and wine! Be prepared to be greeted by the Chef and his lovely wife, who performs charmingly in the service role. There are sometimes language barriers to overcome - it’s all part of the fun! Take the time to enjoy this experience and appreciate the uniqueness of this little French bistro in the 19th district. There are only four or five tables, so be sure to reserve ahead if you’re a larger group. I expect that one of those tables will regularly be occupied by my family and I (and our dog ). Bon appétit! Vegetarian options: Wonderful homemade pasta. Just tell the Chef that you are vegetarian and he will cater for you. My daughter is vegetarian and he has created her a new dish on our last two visits. There isn’t anything much on the regular menu for vegetarians, but the Chef personally takes your order and creates the dish for you. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is so tiny.
