Booked a table in August for our visit in September. Received email confirmation for the booking. Turned up on Saturday 28th September evening to be told our booking was not in the diary and they could not accommodate us. Very disappointed. Showed the staff the emails but that didn't help. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We live locally and have been here several times. The food has been very good and the bilingual waitress, Georgia, an absolute gem!
At lunch today (no Georgia) no 'Bonjour' when we arrived. There were no other clients in the restaurant at this time. After asking for an ashtray twice I had to go in to get one myself.
The surly waitress recommended a Chardonnay with the fish, but didn't specify dry or sweet. We presumed it would be dry as it was with fish. It was sweet. When I went into see the owner, I explained and the waitress lied by saying she had offered both white and sweet, and that we had chosen sweet! The wine was changed, but I really didn't appreciate being called a lier!
It's a shame, because this is a nice restaurant in a great location and the food is good. But we won't be going again in a hurry!
