Hi ! My name is Billy and I am a French singer-songwriter based in Paris. My stay at “La boule d’or” was my first artist residency ever, and it was a blast ! Lena and Jamie are really welcoming, the space is great, the food fabulous, the rooms are great, I spent most of my time writing songs and collaborating with the other artists in the chapel, on the lovely piano ! The surrounding areas are lovely and when the sunny is out is lovely. I wished I stayed longer than a week, but I am so grateful to have been there, definitely recommend for artists if you need a quiet spot to focus on your project X Billy Service: 5

I was looking for the sixth star, but Google evaluation scale is definitely not adapted to La Boule d’Or ! Incredible place, incredible (homemade, local, veg, etc) food, but must of all, inredible people, helping and inspiring. I would like to tell : you must go to la Boule d Or. But I would love to come back too, so please, don’t book all the rooms. Jamie, Léna, Bella and Bella Junior, see you very soon Service: 5

An excellent stay, with comfortable accommodation and welcoming staff. The room was very clean, warm and comfortable with a striking view, comfortable bed and a thoughtful mix of vintage and modern furnishings. The breakfast was sourced from local ingredients, was fresh and delicious. The building itself, especially the old Chapel which is now converted into a bar and eating space, is breathtaking, beautifully preserved and converted, and well maintained. The location is well situated in Clamecy, easy to access yet seconds walk away from local conveniences and the beautiful historic medieval town center. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and provided a warm welcome and introduction to the hotel, and were available at all times throughout the stay for any questions. Overall a brilliant and memorable stay, would highly recommend. Service: 5
