We were in this bistro on Monday April 15th, 2024. I have known it for many years and we have always been satisfied. On April 15th I had visitors from Bavaria and wanted to have lunch with them. Unfortunately that was a big disappointment, my visitor had ordered tartare (we know that well) but when the food came the disappointment was great, 3 thick slices of black bread (no butter) about 150 grams of tartare, only with onion without egg yolk! A small bowl of mayonnaise on the plate (otherwise it would have been almost empty) and a few sprigs of parsley! Neither tomato nor anything else fresh, just a small piece of anchovy lying lonely on the edge! The whole thing cost 21.65 euros .. I then stuck to pumpkin soup as I had lost my appetite. And my visit left a very negative impression. (For 35 euros) We then went somewhere else to eat. This won't happen to us twice. I'll start with the positive! Great ambience, very nicely located in the city center, good for sitting. The first waitress was very attentive, but asked very carefully, almost in a hidden way, whether it tasted good? I think you know what is being sent here: convenience without any refinement, let alone well thought out. I think the standards here used to be higher, but now it's just the hefty prices. If the food had been great, no problem, after all, this is supposed to be a French bistro. Königsberger Klopse, pulled pork, ok, everyone should be happy here, far from any concept. Starter 16 euros, fried oyster mushrooms with fried lettuce hearts, unspectacular, I repeat -16 euros. I thought something fresh and ordered the bowl. Overcooked rice, overcooked vegetables, drowned in coconut milk, on top of three dry pieces of chicken for 6 euros. If I hadn't been so wonderfully relaxed during my vacation, I would have had to return it straight away. A straight 6 as a school grade. “Maybe the dessert will take it out” I thought because of the convenience in my stomach. My companion's crème brûlée never saw vanilla, my raspberry whatever crumble casserole (?!) was just a cobbled together liquid sweet soup. We both had grumbling stomachs for an hour afterwards.
