I have often been to the 'Baracchina' of Mazzanta over the years and I recently returned, two consecutive days, after a period of absence. It's always a pleasure to return to a familiar place, but I noticed some changes that left me with mixed feelings. I particularly appreciated the first course with crab, a really good dish. However, the spaghetti with clams was a little below my expectations (among other things, on the second day we had specifically ordered one with chilli and one without and they brought us both without). The flatbreads, which I usually liked a lot, were "normal" this time, but I noticed a slight worsening which made me suspect a possible change in management. One aspect that left me perplexed concerns the coffee service. I'll start by saying that I'm a demanding person when it comes to coffee (I always ask for it in a large cup or glass), and although the coffee from the 'Baracchina' itself wasn't bad, the fact that it is served in paper cups with a stick to mix makes it less pleasant. It seems to me to be an unsuitable choice for the venue, and I would suggest the owner consider a more refined option for the presentation of the coffee. Also, there was a small error in the order for my daughter. We had requested a normal empty flatbread, but on both the first and second day it was served whole. Fortunately, on the second day, pointing it out, it was changed to a normal dunk. While I understand that these things happen, I wish the staff could pay more attention to the details of the orders, especially when it comes to the little ones. In conclusion, 'La Baracchina' remains a pleasant place to spend time with family and friends. Despite some aspects, in my opinion, that need to be reviewed, I remain optimistic about the restaurant's ability to make some corrections and maintain the service that I have always appreciated. Regarding the cardboard cups, they are used by us simply because we are short of staff in the afternoon and therefore we try to maintain a basic service (in a place where everyone is now closing.).
