For me it would be worth much more than 5 stars, especially when compared to other restaurants in the area. The soul of the place is overwhelming, you can breathe passion even before tasting the dishes. The menu changes daily and is varied enough to meet everyone's tastes! It offers excellent vegetarian alternatives, for celiacs, for lovers of tradition and for the most curious palates, like mine. Here, I tasted heart ham for the first time and discovered combinations that I never would have thought could go together, all accompanied with excellent wine. I don't find the prices to be high, but rather proportionate to the quality of the raw materials and the generous portions. If dining at a restaurant is an experience, Articiocca for me is a real sensorial journey to discover taste. Needless to say, I highly recommend it. A journey into the poetry called "cooking". A unique experience. To try. Throughout Sestri Levante, among the locals, the name of L'articiocca echoes. We book a table for 2 for dinner. Friday 7 July '23. The menu, which is changed every day, can be consulted on the fb page: L'articiocca Sestri Levante. The owners, cooking experts, work with very fresh and 0 km products. Their passions are: research, creativity, freshness. The result of all this "is served" offering the right balance between particularity and refinement. Without ever losing sight of the point, the staff offers an extensive, elaborate menu. A perfect combination of superiority and goodness. Let's order: - Lampuga tartare (locally caught fish), marinated courgettes, olives and OYSTER ICE CREAM. Dish elevated to perfection. - Anchovies marinated with citrus fruits, raisins and Zerli onions. Wow! - Trenette advantaged with mackerel GARUM (similar to anchovy sauce, but made with other fish), pine nuts, capers, yellow datterini tomatoes and crumbs. Dish with important and decisive flavours. Very good and persistent. - Octopus and octopus soup, chickpeas, vegetables and sweet spices. Fantastic! - Tart with fig jam and pine nuts. For the wine I let myself be advised, not being Ligurian, I liked a local wine, among the many choices proposed, I opted for a bottle of Diamante, 100% Pigato. Fruity, floral, with hints of spices. Savory and fresh. Definitely perfect for our menu. We complimented Giada, the waitress who served us. Pretty, kind, professional and nice. Then one of the two starters came out and we repeated our compliments to him too. Well done, keep it up!!! Yours is not a restaurant/tavern, it is a journey into pleasure. Average price, it all depends on what you order and the wine you choose. The restaurant is located a 10-minute walk from the historic-tourist center, or easily reachable by car. It has tables inside and outside. Cleanliness in the rooms and in the toilet. Advised!!! Book in advance as they have few tables. The restaurant also offers take-away gastronomy services.
