To anyone reading this review, please do not take this lightly. Please do not waste your money by booking that Kutu lodge, trust the reviews. If you go ahead and book this lodge, goodluck my dear one. My checkin was on the 3rd of Dec 2023 and it was a birthday booking. My birthday is on the 4th of Dec. I paid for my stay 2weeks prior to my check in date. Read the reviews but decided to turn a blind eye, called the lodge in regards to the reviews,spoke to the lady by the name Thato and she convinced otherwise, stupid me I took her word and went ahead with my booking. I paid for a night stay, paid for both dinner & breakfast aswell as our ( myself & partner) massages. I was very specific that I want a dinner at the restaurant with a setup. 1.Day of check-in we waited at the gate for over 15minutes. Our Safety is not prioritized at all yet they are located in a rural area. 2.Get to reception to check-in, the staff they were all over the place as If they don't know what they were doing , got our room keys and even then I still checked with the lady Thato about our dinner she says all is well. 3.Later in the evening I call to inform that we want to have dinner around 19h00 the same lady Thato says to me that she'll send the chef to my room. 4. Chef (Mosasa) arrives with the menu and says they only offer room service for that night, what a shock, I arranged for a sit in two weeks prior to my arrival, even on arrival i asked and was informed all is well.Told the chef I wasn't going to have room service, he was like the resturant is dirty and will only be ready for breakfast the following day. worse part on the menu they only had two dishes available which were T-bone steak aswell as lamb curry if not mistaken. None of that was to our interest ,after raising my concerns and dissapointments,we ended up not having dinner. I was asked to have lunch the next day with my dinner money to which I said it won't be possible because immediately after breakfast we going for massages thereafter leaving to Pretoria . We did not have both dinner nor lunch ,I asked for my refund they didn't want to refund me. 5. The same chef guy Mosasa so happens to be the manager, lol ..no customer service, no problem solving skills however it's said that he is the manager. 6. Day of checkout 4Dec 2023 ( my birthday)when I got home wrote an email about their service , requested for a refund and provided my account details, I never got response until I decided to give them a call on the 6th January 2024 .The Chef/manager guy Mosasa all of the sudden says he doesn't remember me nor even know what am talking about. Worse Part of it all he even hung up the phone on me, a whole manager. He told me the lodge doesn't give refunds and I told him,the communication I got about no refunds was if your are a no show. I/we did show up to the lodge only that our needs were not met when it came to the dinner and we were not going to have my birthday dinner in the room ,worse part with only two options to choose from. All I Know is I want my refund and will not rest until I get my money back. That was my worst my birthday experience, I wish I had booked elsewhere. The staff members really know nothing about customer service including the so called manager . I plead With anyone reading this, please do not waste your money by booking that lodge because you will regret. Do not be fooled by the pictures and videos uploaded on the internet. 13/02/2024 I took them to small claim court and I was given a letter of demand, believe u me I got refunded within the 1st 10minutes of arriving at the premises to deliver the letter of demand. The musasa manager couldnt even come face me, I don't play like that BOY...i Dont Can we not forget how rude the staff is, more especially the ladies at reception, abana mekgwa sis. NB!!!SAVE YOUR MONEY, DONT BOOK KUTU LODGE. ITS TRASH. Service: 1

My birthday was ruined. Called them during the day wanting to make a reservation and was told I don’t need to make one for dinner and they’ll still be open by the time I get there. I got to the place at 19h00 and the gates were locked, called the person I was talking to and he didn’t respond, texted on WhatsApp and he just reacted to my text with a .. no apologies , no communication NOTHING

Good Day My experience here at Kutu Lodge was terrible, and it's quite infuriating because I went through your reviews and I've been seeing the same complaints and nothing has changed. 1. The rooms don't have any water in the fridge, the tea satchets aren't refilled in the container. There's no water to bath and the communication regarding that isn't well communicated. There's no dstv in the rooms, the wifi isn't working and the taps are broken theres little to nothing maintenance happening in this lodge. 2. The communication with the receptionist is bad, I went to the reception desk in the morning and there was no one there I had to call out a million times until I got attended to even so I didn't get the help I needed. 3. The food here is old, the watermelon has been sitting for a long time it became very stale and it wasn't enjoyable. 4. The staff here has an attitude when you talk to them they walk away from you. They not well trained, of which I do hope they get training on a monthly basis. 5. You can't have 2 people in a room and everything comes in singular form such as one coffee satchets etc. 6. The conference tables were dirty the floor was dirty and the tables aren't stable enough for people to sit comfortably and enjoy their meal. 7. I am a business woman that owns a franchise and so far I've seen a lot of mistakes and mind you I've only been here for one day. 8. There's no bell at the reception desk i found it extremely baffling as to how I'm supposed to get help if the receptionist isn't there and the fact that there's no bell to call out. 9. Breakfast took a long time to get here, the service is slow and dissatisfiying. Thank you. Service: 1
