This used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, especially for delivery. However, their prices have now inflated, though that seems to be the case for all restaurants. The main issue is that my last two orders were disappointing. In the first order, the pepper wasn't ground, so I ended up chewing on whole peppercorns, making the dish inedible. Additionally, the rice was way too salty—I’m almost certain that someone accidentally spilled too much salt and sent it out anyway. The second order was actually yesterday. We received a small portion of noodles despite paying for a large one, but they did offer to replace it for free. The food was mediocre at best, and the rice was unevenly salted again, though not as bad as the first time. I'll give them 2 stars instead of 1 because they're one of the few Chinese restaurants that still offer free prawn crackers, which I appreciate. Stepping into Kona Kai feels like entering a tranquil oasis. The food is a masterpiece, with sushi rolls bursting with flavor and Pad Thai perfectly balanced. The staff are attentive, making the dining experience seamless and delightful, especially the manager Giorgos!
