Thai fried rice with chicken was good. Hot spice level was accurate. Also had the pad sew with beef which was hot spice level, was pretty good. Green curry with chicken was great. They were missing the spring roll in the Thai fried rice combo though :( was looking forward to trying that as everyone loves it as per reviews

oh god this is awful the place looks and smells like an 100 year old abandoned house. Dark and damp, filled with a musty smell. The tables, chairs, and floors are all old and dirty. And not surprisingly, food is awful, rock hard no flavor beef. only good thing about this place is that the staffs are friendly. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Recently I have been to Legato Cafe for brekkie and lunch several times. From outside I thought it was just a cafe serving coffee, tea and cafe foods. In fact they serve Thai cuisine for their lunch menu and the quality really impressed me. The customers in the cafe are generally the people who have been living in Kerrisdale for decades. Many of them are now over 75 years old and they are the loyal customers who visit the cafe every morning. As a new face to the people, I was warmly welcomed. The customers know each other like family members. The vibes made me feel like home there. In particular they don't play any background music - I really like it! Regarding the foods, the super breakfast and a cup of latte are definitely the good choices for a chilly morning. In my last visit at lunch I ordered their Yellow Curry Chicken with rice. The curry was very tasty and I love it from my first bite. The taste is authentic and I must say it is better than authentic. I should have a larger portion of rice as the curry sauce went well with the jasmine rice. This is a cafe full of nice people with stories and good foods where you can slow down and enjoy the moment.
