Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Before I write my review, based on seeing how this restaurant owner responds to other negative reviews, I know for a fact that the owner will reply with a nasty response to my review as well in whichever manipulative way that makes my wife and I out to be at fault.

We arrived at 7:30, as this is when the restaurant opens. We started the order with the beef tacos right away while we scoured the rest of the menu, which wasn't as easy as it was in a foreign language. The tacos came very quickly and were decent.

A few minutes later, the owner came to our table to hurry us up, and as a steak lover, I asked him what steak he recommended I get. He responded, "I don't know, everyone has their own taste" (which is true). So then i asked him what the most popular steak was on the menu. He responded, "I don't know what the different kinds of meat are, so just choose one already." (Which was quite rude and shocking as you would think the owner of a fancy restaurant should know his different cuts of steaks that he sells.) So I safely selected the ribeye as that was the only steak I recognized. My wife also ordered two apps, the Arancini and the lamb filled pita. The steak came out about 10 min or soafter we ordered while the apps were nowhere to be found, and about 20 min later, the apps still hadn’t come out yet. We called over a waiter and asked where our apps were, and he apologized and said that they forgot about them. A few min later, they brought out the apps. I finally dug into my steak, which was extremely fatty, cold, and not very tasty for an expansive piece of meat. I got about 4 bites in and just couldn't eat it anymore. As for the apps, the lamb filled pita was the exact same thing as the tacos except that it was lamb and not beef. The lamb was dry and tasted gamey, which usually means the lamb is of the cheaper variety. We didn’t even bother trying the Arancini.

We called over a waiter again to try to fix everything, and the owner came by to find out what’s going on. We explained to him what was going on and he proceeded to blame everything on us and called us stupid Americans (which we are not American) and blamed everything on us, yelling at my wife and I in front of the entire restaurant, embarrassing us publicly when all we wanted was a nice romantic dinner on our honeymoon. They took the food, and we fairly paid for the tacos that we ate, got up, and left. We had enough. We were disrespected enough and publicly, too. On our way out, the couple sitting at the table by the front door were sending back their own food with their waiter as they were having similar issues themselves. (If you look at one of the next bad reviews you can see soneone posted a bad review about the owner cursing out a nice young couple next to them, which proves what I'm saying is true). So we know we weren't the only ones tonight, let alone on a regular basis, it seems based on Google reviews.

The cherry on top here is once we exited the restaurant. As we were waiting for our Uber, there was a group of people waiting for a table and asked us how our experience was. We simply told them the truth about what happened, how we were treated, how poor the service was, and how distasteful the food was. The owner then came running out and cursed us out (called us a piece of ****) and told us to leave a public area.

I simply don’t understand how a person like this can be working in the food industry, which is supposed to be warm, inviting, and an experience for all. However, it was cold and embarrassing. To whoever decides to dine in this restaurant BEWARE that this might be YOUR experience. PLEASE take a good look at the other reviews (more so the way the owner responds to the negative reviews) … we aren’t the only ones.

We will be reaching out to the hashgacha board in Paris and making sure they are aware of this restaurant, this owner, and how he treats his customers.

Best of luck to this owner.
