Went to visit Paris Ontario for a day trip to see the small town vibe and eat dinner at Juniper. The menu looked great and I was excited to try it. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance was nice. We ordered oysters and steak tartare to start.Both were good and tasty. Hint..add some truffle oil to the tartare. For mains we partner ordered the 8oz Filet rare and I ordered the 16oz Prime steak rare And I asked to have it "Chicago " wel this is where the problem came. The filet was cooked nicely and was good. My 16oz prime steak was raw and cold..not room temp..COLD..like just put of the fridge cold. And it had a very light sear that made it look brown toast. The steak had great marbling and too bad it wasn't cooked. It seemed that the cook just put it non the griddle without cooking the steak. The fat was not rendered at all and it was raw. I ate a piece of raw pure fat. Like biting into a bar of soap. Everything else was good and the server was good as well. She seemed a bit overwhelmed as she was the only server/bartender working 5 tables. Servi e took a bit longer than usual but notnher fault. I will try this place again as it didn't live up to expectations this time so I always give 2nd chances. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My fiancé and I were in Paris for a weekend trip to celebrate our anniversary and, after reading some reviews online, we decided to have dinner at Juniper Dining Co. The ambiance was cozy and pleasant, making it an ideal place for a special night out or even just a nice meal with loved ones. Our server was very friendly and attentive, occasionally checking in to see how we were doing throughout the meal. We enjoyed starting our meal with the bone marrow and steak tartare with grilled bread and toppings; it was very delicious and the seasoning on the steak tartare was on point. For our main meals, we ordered the duck confit leg and the lobster and scallop papardelle, and both were excellent. The parsnip purée and roasted beets went well with the crispy, moist, and flavourful duck. The lobster bisque sauce on the papardelle was savoury, yet not overly rich, so you don't get sick of eating it after a while. Although we were both very full at the end of the night, our server surprised us with a small selection of mini macaroons with 'Happy Anniversary' written on the plate in honour of our special occasion. If you're looking for delicious French bistro cuisine, this is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone visiting Paris!
