Après une visite inhabituelle à St. Mary's, prenez un repas à Joop's Place. Vous allez vraiment apprécier un filet mignon délicieux. Manger un cheesecake savoureux s'avère être une excellente expérience ici. Vous apprecierez un vin délicieux dans ce restaurant. Un jus immense est servi - Essayez et appréciez.

I went there after many years at 1pm ....when in CT I saw an advert which spoke about R99 lunch meal prices. The waiter approaches us, seats us and then we ask whether the lunch special is still available. He said he does not think it's available anymore but will make a plan for us ( my son and I ). Only to return and inform us that the special no longer stands during this time. The venue had 4 people seated. The rest of the restaurant was empty. Sad to see the seating ( leather all torn and tarnished) We decided not to have lunch but wait there for an Uber to take us somewhere else. While seated 2 people walked into the restaurant and headed towards the kitchen with Spar packets. Looks like the odds and ends arrived. Very unprofessional....no person to greet at the door ... environment looks run down and very unprofessional.....sad but I would conclude that there is an ownership change possibly. Stay away from Joops place ....it's longer the place to be in.....sorry Durbs...

So today we were excited to be visiting one of our favorite food places only to be disappointed. Firstly when I ordered the Roslyn's chicken I was asked what veggie id like - so i selected cream spinach. then i was asked if I can change my order so i asked for butternut. My meal was good. I was then asked if i would like anything else to drink by who I thought was the manager - i ordered a coffee never arrived. 15 min later the waiter asked me and i asked for a coffee and advised that i did mention it to the gentleman who i pointed out. 15 min later I was asked if i could change my drink as the coffee machine is not working. Then my husband had the prawn special - again meal was good BUT no shell bowl was provided - not enough napkins given. Had to ask for both from the waiter. The manager or I think he is the manager was chatting to the staff at a restaurant further down the corridor. We then enquired from the waiter if the manager was off only to be told no the business was sold. Well we now knew why we received the service we received. We most certainly will not be returning to Joop's place again. Rather sad for such a long outstanding legendary place. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Always an amazing experience. Service is excellent & the food is marvelous, always. Definitely recommend it
