We came here for dinner in mid-August, more by chance because many restaurants in the area were closed. What a stroke of luck! Super delicious food and attentive service. We took the menu for 4 people and the dishes arrived quickly, each more delicious than the last. Literally something to die for. We then said: we will definitely come back here! It hasn't happened yet but I recommend it to everyone ;) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A bizarre experience with Joan. We had made a reservation for 8:30 PM, the 2nd shift, with the aim of being able to dine quietly with a glass of wine. Not to experience the stress of other people coming to eat after you. In short: at 9:30 PM we were back outside after 8 dishes (there were 3 of us) were shoved down our throats at a rapid pace. Perhaps the name Fast Food Joan is a better name for the "restaurant". The long version: When we were welcomed, we were told that we had to pass on all the dishes in advance, not knowing how big each plate would be, until then. It was reported that the dishes would come at the pace of the kitchen. With Southern spirit in mind, we expected a leisurely evening where dishes would be served that we could enjoy quietly with a glass of wine. Did we know that the kitchen had a speed that would make many TGVs turn green? Our order had not yet been placed and there were already the first 3 dishes, followed less than 10 minutes later by the next 2. Cold, warm, everything mixed together. So you have to keep up to ensure that something doesn't get cold. After the 6th dish I finally had the chance (on other occasions this was not possible because my mouth was full) to ask to take it a bit easier. We were given a 10 minute break. And then there were the last 2. Really not pleasant, you don't get the chance to enjoy a dish at all. The dishes themselves are mediocre, lacking depth and flavor. The vitello tonato is made with very tasty fine veal, but the sauce lacks acidity, tension and flavor. The anchovies were apparently sold out. To cover up that loss, everything was doused with too much olive oil. Maybe take a tour of real Italian restaurants in Italy (and not in the tourist centers) for inspiration. The large prawn swims in the fat and therefore loses its taste, I think they came from the freezer. The fresh tagliattele is perfectly al dente, but the abundance of butter ruins everything. Butter makes every dish better, but butter is too much and too much is butter, as certain people in Belgian history have said. I didn't have time to taste any of the rest of the dishes. With some adjustment this can be turned into something great, but at the moment it is avoidable for me. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €60–70 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
