Great experience. Curried goat fantastic the jerk chicken was good I prefer a bit spicier but I'm sure it's the right heat for the majority of people. And the patties were the best I've ever had. Friendly staff reasonable prices. Try it you'll be glad you did

Me and my boyfriend have a bucket list of restaurants to try from all over Norfolk, Haldimand, and Brant Counties, and this was one of them. We were the only customers present when we arrived, and were greeted by staff with great service. Unfortunately because it's winter time, they were limited on what foods were available due to being short-staffed from some of them being back home for the season. If I can make a suggestion to the ones running this place, they should notify on their page(s) and/or their site about their winter hours and menu options. And maybe even switch the menus up during the different seasons 'cause from some of the reviews I've seen on here, people have been refused service from what foods they want but can't have due to availability. I also saw some people on here say that store hours are shortened in the winter even though it states on Google that they close at 9pm. The food tasted and smelled good but wasn't fresh 'cause the food arrived very fast, and definitely had that feel of just being warmed up. Chickens were still nice and tender, though. We even had one of the staff members come over and ask if the food was too cold (which wasn't, it was warmed up to a comfortable temperature). And I know that you can't control the amount of bones in chickens but the fried chickens we got contained more bone than meat, but flavour was still nice. I felt bad about not eating my coleslaw it came with since I don't like coleslaw. It was my bad due to a misunderstanding on what the server said when she stated "or coleslaw", which made me think that it was an optional choice. Luckily I had my boyfriend take it 'cause he likes it. Because of this, the server offered me a free piece of macaroni pie, which was really nice. Couldn't finish it though 'cause I was already full from my main course, but at least I tried it (which was good but again, wasn't fresh) and got leftovers of it for my lunch the next day. I've had my back turned the whole time during my meal and on the way home, my boyfriend pointed out that some of the staff were apparently staring at us, which makes me uncomfortable 'cause it gives a sign of judgement, awkwardness, and being unwelcome/unwanted. Will think about maybe trying this place during the summer season some year 'cause I can imagine it being more lively and having more available food and drink options. I don't recommend coming in the winter due to limitations.
