I visited from Seattle. It was my first time visiting Koreatown shopping mall, and my first impression was that it was like oh LA and it was amazing. The original plan was to go to Busan Pork Gukbap, but it was empty, so I felt anxious and decided to take a look around and decide. Meanwhile, Jeju Island caught my eye. There were one or two teams waiting, and there was a sign saying it was the best Korean restaurant in Vancouver by 2024, so I settled in. Everyone was eating soy sauce crab, so I tried it first, and I also ordered seafood green onion pancake and cold noodles. first hmm Soy sauce crab disappointment Would it be okay to say it’s great The soy sauce is salty and the taste is mouth-watering. It's not the rice thief's style... It's sweet... I ordered stone pot rice and said I'd like a big bowl of it. The rice was mediocre and the crab sauce was not very good. The body of the crab is still soaked with soy sauce, but the legs are just bland. Maybe it's my fault for hoping for proper soy sauce crab sauce in Vancouver. Tsk Seafood and green onion pancake silver It feels like a lot of research was done. It's a trace of research that says, "Wouldn't it be delicious if we cut the meat into pieces and shredded the potatoes?" but Unfortunately, it didn't translate to taste. First of all, the thicker the pajeon is, the more doughy it becomes rather than crispy in the middle. But the outside isn't crispy either, so... This or that thing made with very thick dough cooked in oil. It tastes like eating just dough with a lot of stuff in it. In the end, I couldn't eat it all, so I had some leftover. Naengmyeon is just cold noodles. It's not ruined, but it's hard to say it's delicious. The atmosphere is a bit ambiguous, the piano accompaniment music is Come out. It was Studio Ghibli music. This is not the atmosphere of a restaurant where you can eat soy sauce crab or grilled meat as a group while ordering a glass of soju. I'm not sure if it's the boss's preference, but anyway, it's not a bad thing, but should I say it's a mismatch? It was mysterious. While I'm sucking crab legs, I'm listening to Totoro music being played on the piano. Meanwhile, the staff are very friendly. Seeing everyone working with a smile, I realized that the staff played a big part in the reason the restaurant had so many customers. A thought comes to mind. I'll have to consider a return visit. Okay then. Price per person: CA$90–100 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
