Ordered stir fry chicken for 13$ including taxes. And portion size is not very, there’s barely any chicken. Went there after checking the google reviews. But food is very average Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

My samosa was frozen rock solid after being warmed up. I found the samosa tasted like a Walmart brand. Pretty sure I got some mild form of food poisoning from the chicken salad sandwich. Slept for 14 hours and had a bad stomach for about 24 hours.and when I asked for fries she just told me it was cheaper without the fries lol, which I believe was her way of saying “we haven’t turned the fryer on yet”. I believe she even still charged me the same price. 10 dollars for a sandwich with coffee.

Janina's Café and Catering have provided quality Polish cuisine in HRM for over a decade. Located at the City of Lakes Business Park in Burnside, Janina's provides a wide variety of food options, whether it be for an individual looking to consume an early morning breakfast sandwich or a company in need of catering for that all-important lunch meeting. The Café has several specials on tap each day including a Chicken Souvlaki on Mondays. The souvlaki, a seasoned, grilled chicken served with rice, and a nice tzatziki sauce was my item of choice and lived up to the hype. There seemed to be an element of pride from the staff in ensuring the food was at a high standard and I overheard other customers remark at the quality of what they had tasted. You are also provided with a customer loyalty card and a special reward awaits you once you reach seven meals. There was a bit of shock at the fact that this item cost only $9.00 and, after perusing the menu, noticed that none of the daily specials go beyond $10.00. Some of these items include lasagne, polish meatballs, chicken penne, and pan-fried haddock, items that would easily top $15.00 or more. For the top-notch service and superior taste, I believe the customer is getting a lot of value for their money. Janina's has just a few tables in their establishment so it is generally wise to go there before noon if you want to stay for lunch as space fills up quickly. This was one of the more enjoyable experiences of the year and I will definitely return. Of note, Janina's provides their famous Polish cakes (including cheesecake and blueberry flan) as part of their catering menu and, indeed, most of the meals on this menu require at least a minimum order of 6.
