Despite the very kind staff even if in obvious difficulty as there are only 2 waiters with many tables and despite the food being good in my opinion, unfortunately I will never return to this place again and I would not recommend anyone to go there...despite having found a hair in my spaghetti at half the plate and despite having pointed this out I still had to pay for the plate...shameful!! I am writing this review almost two weeks after the dinner we had at "In Vino Veritas" so as to allow the memory of the faces of the four people present with me at the table that evening to be quite clouded in the minds of the managers, given that it could show up, due to reasons of force majeure (read lack of a place to go and eat something on a Saturday evening), the need to book here again. That said, as you may have guessed from both the assessment expressed and the preamble, the experience that evening was horrible. We order appetizers, pasta and meat. As for the pasta, two different first courses had been chosen and the waiter who had taken the order asked me if, to help the chef, he could use the same pasta shape for the two first courses. I agree. The first courses that had been specifically ordered were spaghetti alla cacio e pepe and paccheri alla gricia, so we opted for spaghetti as a pasta format for both first courses. (Remember the first ones, we will need them later). For meat, however, a veal rib and a slice of beef were ordered (if memory serves me correctly). Obviously we were not asked about the level of doneness of the meat and after taking the order the waiter left. For the starters, about 40 minutes passed from the time of ordering to arrival at the table, so we had plenty of time to ask for the wine menu to be brought to us, order a red which was brought to us and left on the table , without even having him taste it to check that the bottle he had brought us was fine. We finish the appetizers and they take our plates away after about twenty minutes. Another half hour passes and the first ones arrive, but, surprise of surprises, they were TWO GRICE. Whoever had the first course with me had asked for the cacio e pepe because it was vegetarian, so she rightly asked that the dish be remade because she doesn't eat the bacon present in the gricia. They take the dish and bring it back after a few seconds, so I suggest checking the bottom to see if there was bacon, because it seemed impossible to me that they had remade a pasta dish in such a short time. And in fact there was still some bacon at the bottom of the plate. I could stop here, but how can I omit the detail that in all this we were still without cutlery, which had been taken away from us together with the plates from which we had eaten the appetizer? Now we come to the cooking of the meat, which was deliberately cooked to medium for both orders, when the preferences of the two diners were different, one of the two would have preferred it well done, the other rare. And the question of cooking the meat is not a problem encountered only by the table I was sitting at, in fact the table next to us also requested the cut cooked rare and it arrived well done. So much so that the gentleman to whom it was brought pointed it out to the waitress who served him and told her, and I quote verbatim: "I won't make you do it again because I'm against food waste, but we're not there at all" . Meanwhile the cutlery arrives and after another 10 minutes they bring the spaghetti with cacio e pepe to the vegetarian diner. I still remain skeptical about the authenticity of that dish, I don't think they made it again in such a short time, especially given the previous one. What can I say, I hope this review has been useful and can prevent some unfortunate customers from making an unwise choice. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
