Horrible! Une propriétaire qui sent la transpiration à ne plus avoir faim !!! Et addition scandaleuse de 150€ !! Pour 2 entrées 2 plats de pâtes et 2 verres de vin !! Pas de dessert pas de café !! Si encore c’était bon !!! Mais même pas !! Juste passable !!! Mais le pire c’est quand on vous dit on préfère que vous payez en cash !! Ils vont jusqu’à l’écrire sur l’addition !!!! SCANDALEUX!!! We had come to Florence to show our son the Statue of David, only to get caught in traffic and miss the last entry to the museum. We had to settle for seeing the replica statue that is outdoors, but the piazza it was in was nice, plus there were other statues there, the Duomo, and the river. We decided to hunt down a restaurant that we ate at about 25 years ago and loved, and so set out from the Westin Excelsior to re-trace our steps. This led us to Ristorante Il Profeta Firenze, and indeed it was the same place that we ate John Trivolta pasta that had stuck in our memories for 25 years. Not only was it as good as we remember, but the entire experience was wonderful- from the waiter who described all of the seasonal specials from memory, to the owner and his wife both bringing us treats to try. We loved all the food that we tried- the ravioli with pear, the olive oil, the zucchini flower stuffed with ricotta, even the lemonade drink- all were wonderful! I was fairly grumpy from having missed our entry into the museum, but this restaurant experience totally lifted my spirits and made me want to return to Florence in future. I hope it will not be another 25 years!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: €30–40 Vegetarian options: Several dishes are vegetarian Kid-friendliness: As kid-friendly as any Italian restaurant, but hopefully, if you have young children, they will be well-behaved, though they can be relaxed here.
