Last Friday, November 14th, 2025, we had dinner as Il Posto in Delta. The food was well prepared but came very quickly, quite hurried as we found out later why this was the case. Not quite what was expected in a restaurant that would set itself at a higher level than a White Spot. We had guests from out of town, and just after about 2 hours, the bill given to quickly, was paid and we were just finishing our beverages, and we were asked to vacate our table as another group wanted our table. This was embarrassing for us as we had guests from out of town. I am not sure if they planned to move us out to the patio or where. For a restaurant that would like to see itself as a "finer dining" restaurant, they sure did fail. For the members of our group this was a first, and I would say the last for this restaurant. What a disappointment to be asked to leave. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Vegetarian options: Did not ask about this. Dietary restrictions: We were not asked about dietary restrictions, we had to let them know. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking Parking: None. Kid-friendliness: No comment on this aspect, but they have a kids' menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Was probably possible but we were not looking for this.

Hi Charles,Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, though we are so disappointed to hear what you thought! Our first seatings are always allocated 1:45 minutes to two hours, depending on the group size, in order for us to accommodate 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, and 8:00pm reservations. This is something we outline throughout the booking process. In your groups case, we had a guest arrive that specifically asked for a booth due to a mobility issue. With this, and also knowing your group had already finished their dinner, we asked if your group would mind hopping to another round table nearby to carry on your conversation. When I mentioned this, your guests said, they understood and were ready to leave anyways, and then proceeded to head out. They didn’t seem bothered in the least, but perhaps they were just being polite. It was never our intention to make you feel rushed out and were sorry you felt this way. In future, If you wish to guarantee there won’t be a table dining after your group, please book your reservation at 7:00pm or later. Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and we sincerely hope you will join us again in future. Il Posto
