After our walk in Atri we were looking for a place to have lunch, preferably outside with a view. Il Castellaro ticked the box. We were surprised that not more people have discovered this modern restaurant with great views and good food. The pastas were delicious and the mixed grill for one had enough meat for 3-4 people. The meat was succulent and grilled to perfection. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place is definitely worth it. The setting especially on the rooftop terrazzo is unique. The offerings are traditional Italian / Abruzzo specialties. Antipasti, primi, secondi there is no printed menu, so it helps if you understand what is the typical offering in principle. I suppose the menu varies from day to day. Everything was excellent quality, tasty and plentiful. The service is very attentive yet relaxed and informal. The place is not very big, some tables at the roof top terrazzo and some by the park side. I definitely recommend the roof top ( I the summer time of course). Reservation might be good idea, even though at the time of our visit we were the only dinner quests. The indoor interior is rather minimalistic and perhaps not inviting for dinner. There is a fully equipped bar, too. Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: There are vegetables and salads as well as vegetarian pasta dishes. But in Italian Kitchen, you might need to put some effort to explain your dietary limitations…

Mi sono fermato a pranzo con la mia famiglia, abbiamo mangiato due primi e un secondo. Le materie prime erano ottime e i piatti abbondanti, la bistecca che ci è stata servita si scioglieva in bocca.
