The Hotel is so interesting. The details of craftsmanship are impressive. My arrival was substandard (poor communication) . My room was as expected very nice. But the air system would not cool ( window open all day) . The TV is so old the vision and sound are poor. The restaurant on my second breakfast the staff was dismissive. On departure the fellow did not even ask how my stay was. Outside of the mechanical items the staff was not at the level of fees they expect. Nelson has a super cool vibe, this I enjoyed. Walkability: Great spot being in the heart of the village Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury

This place is like stepping back in time in the best way possible. Amazing accommodations but still are able to hold onto the heritage and history of the building. The lobby bar is something like you would see out of a 1940’s gangster movie, with amazing cocktails and great food. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and amazingly modern in the old fashion way. Highly recommend staying here. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

I celebrated my birthday at the Hume Dining Room this week. The Cauliflower Steak dinner was wonderful. Creative, flavourful and very filling. Thank you for providing such a delicious vegan option.
