Really wanted to love this place and gave it quite a few chances. First visit was to try the wings and they were pretty good. Tried a few other items on the menu and got mixed results. A toasted club sandwich came out stone cold and the bread soft, barely toasted at all. Flavor wasn't horrible, but everything else was. Went back for the wings special, figured we wouldn't be disappointed. Wrong. Wings are rubbery, no crisp at all, and tough. Service has always been terrific, but very slow. In my opinion, place is often sorely understaffed. Just 2 servers with no dedicated bartender when this place is close to packed... just... very long waits for everything. Not the servers' fault. They've always been wonderful, attentive and easy to deal with. This is a staffing issue, management to blame pure and simple. Have not gone back in quite a while... might give it another chance down the road. Or not. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $20–30 Parking space: Plenty of parking

The food at Howl at the moon is such a delightful surprise! The menu has a twist with some unique home-made options that you don't see at most pub style restaurants (empanadas, focaccia bread, fresh tortillas). The chef infuses some of his culinary knowledge from Venezuela and when you have the good fortune of having him specifically make your food you can tell it is made with passion and love. Definitely a must try! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
