It's almost hyperinflation in this bar! A morning croissant with coffee cost €2.20 at the beginning of inflation. Then they increased the price to €2.40 and this year in the last few months first to €2.60, and recently to €2.80! Annual inflation here is reportedly around 7.5%. It is much higher in this bog. Banka Slovenije is across the street. Employees there can go to this bar to see what inflation looks like in practice. Answer to answer. My intention was not to compare prices and do analysis. A coffee with milk 100 meters away costs €2.50. It is a fact that we have one of the highest inflation rates in the euro area. Of course, coffee with a croissant is the least of the problems. However, we have become accustomed to constant price increases, and they are clearly ripping us off more than the rest of the euro area. And these price increases now are obviously because the customers do not react to this by reducing consumption. Of course, the main culprit for high inflation is actually across the street, or even better, the money printing press in Frankfurt. Well, Holidays' Pub is a perfectly fine place, with friendly staff. I have more of a problem with watching everything around me get irritated. But then I'm afraid where it ends. If we get into a situation like in Turkey, the price of coffee will double in one week.
