I love a good sandwich. This was not a good sandwich. Highly rated so I was disappointed. Excess, oily lettuce made the white, standard bun soggy. The mix of ingredients did not blend well and were relatively sparse. Poor value given the price. The vibe was kinda cool but did not strike me as a clean place. Will not recommend or return. Totally awesome every way you look at it. The hoagies, while a bit pricey, are phenomenal and well worth my trip halfway across the city. The staff are amazing, and I spent my time there chatting with them about whatever, and getting YouTube recommendations. I’ll be coming here as often as my wallet allows, and you should too. They may serve out of a small space, but the spot functions exactly as a sandwich shop should: I pay for a sandwich, and you give me a sandwich. Hoagie Boyz, though, likes to turn the dial up a notch, serving creative, filling, and delicious subs. Their specials often pay homage to what a classic sub should be, while allowing the menu to breathe with hearty, fresh ingredients. I'm not sure how long Hoagie Boyz has been part of this neighborhood, but it's hard to imagine the village without one of their crafted creations on a Sunday afternoon.
