We visited this place for the first time on the recommendation of friends. I’ll say right away that this is not our first time in such establishments and we prefer just such a format of relaxation, but in order. 1. Staff. It was terrible, as if there were no standards for guest service. The waiters have no identification marks. Our waiter came up to us and just silently bent over my husband. He was silent until I started dictating the order. And all this time I was worried that it was unclear to whom I was dictating what I would eat. I originally wanted to order tartare, I always order it without onions, and here I asked for the same thing. To which I received the answer “well, that means you won’t have tartare.” And the question is - did the waiter decide to teach me how to properly eat raw meat or is this position prepared in advance in the kitchen? (Which should not be the case, since it is still raw meat and the position, in principle, comes from under the knife). At the entrance, the girl imitated a lot of activity for a very long time, looking for a table for us (weekday evening). I specifically looked later and the tables were not in reserve, and in general only 4-5 tables were occupied. For some reason they brought a compliment from the establishment. No, it’s nice, but we learned that this was a compliment only from the check, since in response to my question the waiter answered me “you eat, you won’t be poisoned here.” 2. Food. The food is delicious. The steak was pretty good, as was the chicken. But again, the staff. Instead of the tactful “I would recommend you to eat it this way and that way,” my husband was literally asked “do you even know how to eat it?” Well, hello, how do you even understand this? 3. Drinks. Overprice. At first they completely forgot to bring water and had to look for a waiter. Plantation rum costs as much as 700 for 40 ml. But this is a fairly ordinary rum and it’s not worth that kind of money per serving at all. This is the cheapest position here. There are many places where rum will be both tastier and cheaper. I took myself a gin tonic (this item is right there as a cocktail on the menu for the same seven hundred rubles), but later on the receipt we saw that it was added separately and instead of tonic there was Coca-Cola. The price of the drink has increased by almost 500 rubles. No matter how sorry it is, but damn, it’s even shameful to cheat for half a thousand in such a place, in my opinion. In general, we will not return here again and have already told our friends not to come either. It's absolutely not worth it. Hitch, thanks for the lack of service, it was disappointing. When choosing a restaurant for a late dinner on Moskovsky, we decided to go to Hitch, guided by the fact that it was open at a late hour and had meat on the menu, which seemed decent. We chose 2 steaks, French fries, a glass of craft beer, and a Coca-Cola. We were tempted by the “fried potatoes with chanterelles and sour cream” listed on the menu from the seasonal menu (price 750 rubles). Before bringing the desired potatoes with chanterelles, the waiter began to vaguely explain about the “uniqueness” of this dish, namely that these were not fried potatoes, but “unique potato chips with mushrooms and sour cream.” When asked if it was possible to traditionally bring the said “fried potatoes,” he replied that, of course, yes. As a result, these potatoes cost more than the ordered steak. The funny thing is that all the ingredients of this “delicacy” were calculated separately. Result: meat with a C grade - tough and without much taste. The beer is quite mediocre. “Fried potatoes with chanterelles” is just a scam of customers out of money. Bill: 5085 rubles for two, no frills. It was also unpleasant that strange midges were constantly circling over our table, despite the fact that we were sitting indoors and not on the veranda. If you want good meat, beer, high service and mind-blowing desserts, then this is not the place for you. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND. P. S: Dear restaurant employees, who responded to my review as standard, do you really think that, having received such “impressions” from your establishment, I will return there again and again pay you money for not tasty food and inappropriate service? There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in St. Petersburg with excellent cuisine and honest service, where customers are eagerly awaited.
