It seems to be a real Japanese restaurant (food seats waiters behaviour Kirin TAPPED !)ça m'a semblé être un vrai restaurant japonais : nourriture façon de s'asseoir comportement des serveuses et de la Kirin en pression pas en bouteille)

Excellent service, they helped us a lot despite not understanding the menu and were very attentive with everything. The food is delicious and of excellent quality. And the climate of the place is also beautiful, very calm. We are always looking for authentic Asian food and Japanese is our absolute favorite cuisine. We came to Hidori on the recommendation of Japanese friends and actually found a real Japanese restaurant. There were four of us and we had miso soups, agedashi tofu, a large mixed sushi and a small mixed sashimi to share. For dessert we tried the matcha ice cream, the deconstructed matcha cheesecake and the black sesame ice cream. All dishes were fantastic!!! We have already been to Kyoto and Tokyo, but the scallop sashimi at Hidori was not inferior to that in Japan. The service was also super nice. The food and service definitely deserve 5 stars! We reordered Agedashi Tofu, which was finally served in a good, light dashi (broth) based sauce. Unfortunately, in Vienna you often find teriyaki sauce that is far too strong for the delicate taste of the delicately fried tofu with bonito flakes. The atmosphere is quite nice with warm lighting in the restaurant. Only the furnishings are not particularly special, tables with laminate surfaces, placemats that are reminiscent of the 70s, shelves and boards on the walls that seem a bit haphazard and unfortunately neither underline the excellent food nor highlight it through restraint. Hence one star less. With drinks and dessert, the four of us paid around €170, which was absolutely okay for us given the ingredients and great dishes. I mentioned the furnishings purely as constructive criticism, because with solid, even simple wooden tables, simpler placemats and a few solid, simple shelves, Hidori would also be visually nicer and therefore a complete and absolute hit for us.
