Such a lovely place to stumble across. The editions available are amazing, and the food and coffee were great. I had the scones with clotted cream and it was so yummy and nostalgic. I have left with three new books, a full stomach, and a favourite place to go to when in Zwolle.

This english book store is so amazing!!!*-* It´s so close by the train station, so even if you only have to wait in Zwolle for some time in between travels, its the time worth to pass by for a coffee and a new book! Not even 5 minutes of walking and you´ll end up in this cozy hidden café with a cute frontyard where they even sell a lot of recently published English second hand books, that are affordable for way cheaper (and are sustainable!) than buying them new. I was there and totally loved the vibe that Lotte, the owner of Het Book Cafe, spreads!! She is so kind, friendly and open for any question - and you can see that she totally loves what she does (& that is for me personally the most important thing to feel when going somewhere new!). What I especially also loved that Het book cafe offers a lot of different books over queer stories as well as diversity including written children books. A biiiiiiiiig recommendation by heart
