Reader information: went for their NYE special 5 course. $150/ person plus drinks. Good quality was excellent, however the atmosphere started declining when we arrived. The amuse took an hour to get to our table, and this was the only dish the chef came out to introduce; other staff filled in but did not introduce themselves which is a shame. I loved the theme of the night, but I was kind of aghast we did not receive a free flute of sparkling wine like other NYE specials at other restaurants, especially at a four topper paying $600+. Experience was good, punch served in a teapot is a grand idea. Homemade sarsaparilla was okay, not on par with Californian sarsaparilla. Server was attentive and answered all questions. All in all, not sure if I will attend another NYE here, without asking more questions before paying non-refundable deposit. With expectations from other restaurants, paying less then $150/person, I left wanting more. Vegetarian options: Asked for pregnant person fully cooked meals and they subbed for vegetarian option on two of the 5 courses, so yes there is vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Followed my allergy request, only the manager complained it was set dishes. Kid-friendliness: Definitely not a kid place. My friend needed to use the washroom. We offered to buy something as the remai modern washroom was closed ( the security told us that hearth restaurant would let us use the washroom). The worker seemed like she was okay allowing us to use the washroom. I offered to buy something as well!! The manager racially profiled me and my friend group, and said no. We were all woman of color and she gave us a nasty attitude. my friend geninuely needed to pee, and they couldn’t open the door for 2 minutes. How inhumane is that? If this manager was ever placed in a situation where she needed to use the washroom desperately I hope she gets no kindness, and respectfully pees in a bush :))) a word of advice to the public, do not come to a restaurant that racially profiles young women. Do better , we went to shoppe and they never refused us service, especially to multiple young woman. Ur establishment is not sophisticated. I pray u learn kindness to humanity and do not racially profile ur potential customers!!! If we were white woman, I would not be writing this comment rather the manager would have allowed us to use the restroom!!! She looked at my black friend and blantly said no it was extremely clear what her intention was. It is 2024 come on!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
