Went in today and I have been here in the past. Today we had a server we never had before and I hope we don’t ever have her again! We sat in a booth where you could see the kitchen. We sat there watching our food get cold as the server was just standing over by the bar area doing nothing. Finally someone told her our food was ready and she slowly moved to get it. She never once came by for a quality check, or to see if we needed anything. I had to call out for her to get us waters and to go box. I have never had bad service here until today. She looked shocked that she didn’t get a tip. Her loss! Tips are for the level of service she gave none she got none. Will never go there again. The waitress as soon as we walked in was rude. When we said we had 8 people ,she informed us they would automatically add 18percent to our bill. When we said well put us at two tables of four. She said No. We came in as a table of 8 they wouldn't allow us to separate. Even though we were a family of four, a couplee and two single elder ladies. Well we left. We went to dennys. They had no problem.serving us,were quite shocked that Harold's would charge us 18 percent on top of our bill. We informed Harold's bfor we left we usually give 20 percent as a tip. So dennys received a bill of over 150 dollars, tips at 60 percent as the bills were split 3 ways. So their waitress missed out in 60 percent in tips , the restaurant missed out on 150 in income, and a beautiful hat that was left for the waitress as a tip. She was extremely excited to receive the hat. Was actually jumping for joy. So I will never go back here. Which I have been coming to for more years than I can count. I have even done work for them. Never again for that either. So sad that in these times of restaurants closing due to lack of customers or from covid and trying to bounce back , that Harold's can afford to lose long standing customers like our family. Well Dennys just got new customers, I am.sure they appreciate it. !!!!!!
