I chose to book a room at this hotel, as I was dissatisfied with the other hotels I stayed in in the past in Zalău. Grand Hotel Baroc is a hotel that is practically located on the outskirts of Zalău. If you have work in the city center, I advise you to keep this aspect in mind. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I asked to be offered a room that did not have a window facing the boulevard, to avoid the noise. They informed me that they did not have rooms available, but they assured me that the noise caused by the traffic of cars on the boulevard would not be heard in the room. The traffic on the boulevard turned out to be intense, something that did not allow me to sleep all night. The rooms are large, spacious, well equipped. I could not enjoy this because of the noise on the road. The food in the hotel restaurant is ordinary, fast food style I would say. The restaurant smells strongly of food, most likely, the smell comes from the kitchen next door. The prices charged by the restaurant are decent, in relation to the quality of the products provided. When it was time to serve breakfast, I showed up at 8 o'clock in the restaurant, where I found 2 eyes, 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of very salty ham. It's the poorest breakfast I've ever had. The coffee served was equally bad. The hotel staff was instead cooperative and kind, for which I thank them!
