I went to this cafe a few days ago. When I asked if they had gluten-free fruit juices, a lady with a pedantic air stated that all fruit juices are gluten-free. Absolutely false. Noticing the unpreparedness of the staff, I kindly ask them to read the label and in fact there was a thickener among the ingredients which makes the product at risk for celiacs and therefore requires the wording gluten-free to be administered by a celiac. To avoid any misunderstandings and avoid feeling bad, I therefore ask for a simple orange juice, assuming that I would have paid the difference. The cashier reproachfully warns me that next time I will have to point this out at the checkout. Traveling around a lot, I would never have expected such unpreparedness of the staff, such an uneducated attitude and above all such a serious shortcoming from Gran Caffè Margherita.
