TLDR: authentic, in terms of food and service. Good place for people having homesick lol The shrimp dumplings were a real treat. Each dumpling was expertly crafted with a thin, translucent wrapper that perfectly encased a succulent shrimp filling. The flavors were well-balanced, and the texture was spot-on. Simply delicious. Another standout dim sum item was the fried bean curd roll with shrimp. The rolls were crispy on the outside, revealing a piping hot and flavorful filling of tender shrimp. The combination of the crispy exterior and the juicy shrimp inside created a delightful contrast of textures. It was a dish that I couldn't resist ordering seconds of. Apart from the fantastic dim sum, the service at Golden City Restaurant was commendable. It was refreshing to dine in a Cantonese restaurant where the service was 100% authentic, as they didn't ask the usual generic questions like "How is the food?", which added to the overall authenticity of the experience. lol In conclusion, Golden City Restaurant exceeded my expectations with its superb dim sum offerings. The shrimp dumplings and fried bean curd roll with shrimp were outstanding in terms of taste and quality. The authentic service provided by the staff further enhanced the dining experience. If you're looking for a Cantonese restaurant that delivers excellent dim sum and genuine hospitality, Golden City Restaurant is a must-visit. ordered a combo for 1 tonight. it arrived hot and within 45 min. nice big portion, crispy s&s pork .. the only plc ive had it come crispy. and im not mad (yummm) I will definitely be ordering again.
