Un bar qui vaut le détour pour se plonger dans une atmosphère berlinoise authentique. On y savoure des alcools choisis et cocktails de qualité dans une ambiance détendue et une déco tendance. Le service est professionnel et chaleureux. Devenu incontournable à Moabit, une adresse qui se crée une solide réputation dans la ville. J'y retourne attiré comme par un aimant, chaque soirée est un moment de plaisir sans cesse renouvelé!

George R, named after the "most famous unknown bootlegger, George Remus" (quote from owner Alex). Alex assures me that of course he has nothing to do with alcohol smuggling. I believe him. But back to the bar: George R is a stylishly minimalist bar , small bar with lots of wood and a cozy atmosphere. The drinks taste excellent and the prices are more than fair at 11 to 13 euros. The cheese sandwich rounds off the successful evening. Located in Berlin-Moabit, George R forms a rare oasis of high-class bars in this area. Despite the location far away from the more popular trendy districts, the bar is easily accessible thanks to the connection to the Ringbahn and U9. The range of drinks impresses with both well-known classics and innovative, own creations. What is striking is the illustrated drinks menu, which features images from the Prohibition era and is reminiscent of the work of George Remus. A conversation with bartender Freddy, who spent many years in London and acquired his expertise in renowned bars, not only provides deep insights into the art of drinks. Together with owner Alex we talk about New York, the Yankees and the Fight Club in the basement of the George R, which of course doesn't exist (Rule 1). All in all, George R offers a very pleasant bar experience that impresses with its drinks as well as its ambience and staff. A visit is definitely recommended, especially for those looking for something special off the beaten track. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
