I am a big advocate of healthy food & slalds. I had a Fiesta Salad from Freshii and really enjoyed it. Would recommend. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Recommended dishes: Salad

I walked out of the restaurant yesterday after placing my order. I went in fully accepting that I was too lazy to bring my own dinner to work, and in exchange was going to overpay for something from a restaurant. And that's totally fine, I eat in restaurants a lot for that very reason. But when I got to the end of ordering my bowl that was about to cost me $16, I casually asked, "Oh, and could you throw on a bit of hot sauce?" The man leaned over the counter, cancelled the transaction, and said that he had to start the order over again. I was stunned. I asked him, incredulously, whether he was CHARGING me for a few drops of hot sauce, and he said yes. As if surprised by my question, he explained that 'We have to buy it, so we have to charge for it.' If you are not astounded by this, you're wasting your time reading my review. This is a new low. I KNOW that times are tough and that costs are high, but this extent of greed is so insulting that I cancelled my order, expressed how lame I thought this policy was, and left. What are they going to charge for next? Utensils? Napkins? Toilet paper? So in exchange for the incalculably low cost of a bit of hot sauce, Freshii has lost an occasional customer (I've frequently eaten at the one in Toronto on Bloor St. W. and NEVER paid for hot sauce.) Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

Hey David, as much as I understand your feelings, every SKU we have has a cost to it. Our current state is we are getting hammered with increases everywhere. Food costs, labour costs, equipment, repairs, rent and interest rates. These small items add up and do affect the bottom line. Yes we would have much rather had your business and gave away an item, but the team is instructed to charge for additional items. I never want to lose a guest so I hope that you can see it through our eyes and return.
