Pour passer un bon moment pour le petit déjeuner ou le brunch, c'est l'adresse à ne pas manquer sur Braunschweig. Chaleureux, conviviable et atypique vous serez servi, par 2 chamantes femmes, des produits frais, fais maison et de qualités. A recommander sans hésiter.

The many good reviews led us to choose a different café as our favorites and so we made a reservation at Fräulein Wunder. We would have liked to sit outside, there was plenty free there, but we had to take our assigned table in the far corner - oh well. Spoiler: when we left 1.5 hours later, there were still 4 tables available outside and remained so during our stay We were greeted nicely but awkwardly with the information that we could only have the table until 11:30 a.m. That came right after the “Hello” and didn’t seem hospitable, especially since I already had the information from the confirmation of our reservation and it covered a period of two hours - so there was no reason to rush. The café itself is nicely and comfortably furnished, but nothing special in itself. It looks like every other café in Berlin, only dustier. Unfortunately, and I'm really sensitive about this, everything was full of cobwebs. There were two dead flies on our table under the window that I tried to sweep off the table with my hand, but unfortunately they got stuck in massive cobwebs just below the height of the table. Bah. The service was very, very friendly and tried hard, everything came very quickly. There are no menus, just a QR code. The selection was extremely extensive and didn't miss anything. The coffee tasted very good, the freshly squeezed orange juice was also delicious. We were conflicted about the food: the pancakes were a bit dry, but tasty, the breakfast we chose was perfectly good except for the (homemade) roll, but rather boring. Serving a fruit salad made from three cubes of melon, a quarter of an apple and a (!) grape in the summer is truly uncreative and not worthy of the price of breakfast. I didn't like the bun at all. I bake bread and rolls myself and know something about it, so either something went wrong that day or you're overestimating yourself a little. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the homemade bread, but visually it looked very good (at the neighboring table). Unfortunately, my boiled egg was rock hard and cooked green, but admittedly no one asked how it should be. We were well fed and received a really nice and friendly farewell, but where the many glowing reviews came from remains a mystery. But maybe we are just too spoiled by our regular cafés in the eastern ring. We didn't leave really dissatisfied, but unfortunately we weren't convinced at Fräulein Wunder.
