American visiting the Black Forest and dropped in for lunch. Absolutely wonderful (and warm) cafe! I had a black forest ham and prosciutto sandwich with goat cheese, figs, and honey... Nice spot for coffee, cake, an amazing waffle, and outstanding bread. The bread is incredible so flavorful with smart combinations, truly professional and impressive. They offer alternative milks, which is a nice touch. The waffle was great, though the vanilla ice cream could have had a bit more vanilla flavor. During my 6-week hospital stay in Hinterzarten I was in this super cute café almost every day. The 'Fräulein Me' is beautifully decorated and serves delicious coffee and homemade ice cream. Melanie and her team are very warm and try to make all guests smile, even when there is a lot going on. It has quickly become my favorite café. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
