We went to the forester's lodge for dinner as a group of ten people. As the weather permitted, we sat down in the beer garden. Although I didn't think it was too crowded, it still took quite a long time until we were asked what we wanted. First we were able to order drinks, which took some time until everyone was supplied. The food was then ordered from a separate menu that was only valid outside. The portions were absolutely manageable, explicitly the salads with fish were more the size of a starter, but this was not noted as such on the menu. After a complaint about this, those affected were offered a drink of their choice. The Viennese style schnitzel with fries and salad was also ok. but no more. The salad with fish for €26.50 and the schnitzel for €21.50 were, in my opinion, a bit excessive in price. A glass of 0.3 liter Kölsch for €4.50 (liter price €15!) is definitely too much. The staff was friendly, but everything took too long. After this experience, I will avoid the Forsthaus for the time being and would not recommend it.
