We came here for breakfast and a dessert on Canada Day. The service was excellent and the food was equally lovely. As an added bonus there is an equally lovely view out into the inner Harbour. My wife also tried a cocktail while we waited for the fireworks and she recommended that also. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stayed at the Grand Pacific and had breakfast here! The kiddos loved their pancakes (and so did the adults) and the French toast, omelette, and all in one breakfast were delicious! The waitress was friendly, consistently checked on us, and helped us pick meals for the kiddos. The food was top-notch and the restaurant is gorgeous! I'm thrilled to share my experience at Fathom, a gem of a restaurant located in the heart of downtown Victoria at the Hotel Grand Pacific. Visiting from Montreal, I was eager to explore the local dining scene, and Fathom did not disappoint. The atmosphere at Fathom is inviting, with a well-appointed space that offers both indoor elegance and a cozy outdoor patio with views of the Inner Harbour. The decor strikes a perfect balance between modern and warm, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy a meal. What truly stood out, though, was the bar menu-an elaborate and thoughtfully curated selection that left me impressed. From creative cocktails to a fantastic array of BC wines, every drink I tried was delicious and perfectly crafted. A huge shoutout goes to Abby, the Bar Manager, and her incredible team. Their friendliness, patience, and dedication made my visit even more memorable. Abby’s passion for BC wines and her expertise shone through as she recommended pairings that elevated my dining experience. Her team was equally attentive, ensuring every detail was just right, from explaining menu items to checking in with a genuine smile. It’s clear they take pride in providing top-notch service. As for the food, I sampled a few small plates. The seafood-forward menu, inspired by the rugged West Coast, showcases fresh, local ingredients, and I can’t wait to return to try more from their dinner offerings. If you’re in Victoria, whether a local or just passing through like me, Fathom is a must-visit. The combination of a stunning location, a fantastic bar menu, and a team as welcoming as Abby’s makes it a standout. I’m already planning my next trip back.
