Excellent bakery and deli! Meats are delicious and well priced for the quality. Love their fresh pastries as well. They make great custom sandwiches for take out as well.

Used to get two sizes of the happy face cookies and also some without food colouring (just white icing with a brown happy face drawn on it.) Noticed that they weren’t available and after a few visits buying the large cookie with the deeply coloured icing decided to ask if they were going to make any with white icing again. I was told no because “it’s different icing than the coloured icing”. I said you used to though. She was adamant it would have to be custom ordered. I asked to speak to the owner to which I found out she was the new owner who recently bought the place. I have a little treat time activity with my grandson. We walk there to buy a happy face cookie and make memories of being together in doing so. I asked again to please make some in white because I would rather not give my grandson food coloured cookies. She just flat out refused.. kept saying she couldn’t… even though that place used to have them. I also have a background in baking and know damn well it’s possible. Disappointing customer service with the new owner.

Highly recommend this bakery for some old school pastries, cakes and donuts if you're in the neighborhood. The glazed donuts are pillowy soft, not too sweet, and very well priced considering their quality. I could definitely see these costing more in Vancouver! The custard donut was also nice, though I think it would be perfect if the custard filling was just a tad sweeter. It can get a bit busy but the staff are nice and work quickly to put orders together so you won't be waiting long. Can't wait to come back and try some of their other stuff next time I'm back in Maple Ridge.
