My wife and I and our son visited when dropping him off at University and we were blown away by how good the smoked ribs were. I don’t think I’ve had ribs that good at any restaurant before. We will definitely be back every time we are in Waterloo for a visit. Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chicken Wings

Stayed for 10 days arround Waterloo and went 4 times to this place. To be honest I couldn't find any other place in the zone that could compete with Ethel's Lounge regarding the Quality/Price balance. Almost all the times that we were here we ordered their Wings, which are a thousand times better than anywhere around because they do not fry them, as the others do. Also the Ribs on Saturday are a must for 25$. Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went in the out gate. There was nobody around. We would not have caused any covid issues. The waiter took acception and said he didn't have to allow us into the restaurant. In a very aggressive way. He took us to our table and when one of us stood up off a bar stool to see the changes in the renovation. The same waiter said if you don't sit down your out of here. Again very aggressive. We had another waitress so we stayed and ate. At the end of the meal the roof of my mouth broke out in blisters. I have never never had experienced that before. We didn't do any thing to get this kind of treatment.
