The Electric Eel is a neighborhood café and cocktail bar with handmade drinks, delicious coffees and vinyl sounds. We have regularly scheduled DJs, live music (on occasion), featured visual artists and special events. Day-to-day, our focus is on providing a comfortable atmosphere for our guests with high-quality products and friendly service.

We are located on a sunny patch of Werderplatz in Karlsruhe’s Südstadt. Come join us for a drink.

Cozy little bar in downtown Karlsruhe. We each had 2 cocktails and 2 red wines. The cocktails were good and prepared with love and decorated simply but tastefully. That certain extra was missing, but the compositions were both successful and daring: some unusual combinations met rarely found ingredients (4/5) The wines were really exceptionally good and from regional wineries. Top! (5/5) The bartender and the two service staff obviously really enjoyed their job and were very attentive, competent and friendly. Thanks again! Keep it up! (5/5) We found the location very nicely decorated and the seating was incredibly comfortable. The ambience is stylish and the lighting is perfectly balanced: not too dim, but not too bright either. (5/5) We also really liked the music selection: there was a lot of variety in juggling between different genres, and the system and sound were also really good. (5/5) If I lived in Karlsruhe, the Electric Eel would probably be one of my favorite bars. So I will definitely come by more often when I visit there and recommend this bar without any ifs and buts! Really great cocktail bar with individual advice, beautiful ambience, gigantic music (especially with the Cocktail Harbor Band) and, of course, super nice guests. Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Auf Jeden Fall Sehr Colle Coktais Und Knabbereien
