I’ve been a regular customer of Edo Japan on Prince of Wales Drive for quite some time, but my recent visits have been very disappointing. The staff at this branch used to be a diverse mix of nationalities—Chinese, Filipino, Korean, even whites and others—and the food quality was consistently excellent. However, I’ve noticed that the staff has recently changed, and unfortunately, so has the quality of the food and service. The beef on the photo is so DRY.. Today, I ordered the beef meal, and it was a letdown. The beef was dry and tough, the portion of rice was noticeably smaller than usual, and the overall taste and appearance of the food were far from the standard I’ve come to expect from Edo Japan. Another major concern is hygiene. All food handlers and servers must observe proper personal hygiene, and this is non-negotiable. From the counter, I could smell an unpleasant odor, which was extremely off-putting and unacceptable in a food establishment. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and addresses both the quality of the food and hygiene practices to bring this branch back to its former standard. Until then, I’ll be reconsidering where I order from. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
