We had dinner at Edgewater Manor Restaurant the other night, and it was a great experience overall. The venue is stunning with beautiful water views – definitely a memorable setting. The food was almost perfect. The grilled calamari was a bit too oily for our taste, but the Spiced Coconut Shrimp was absolutely delicious. We finished with a classic Crème Brûlée, which was really tasty and the perfect way to end the meal. Definitely a place we’d come back to – great atmosphere and some standout dishes! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Creme Brulee Vegetarian options: Ask the server.

It's great to know the spiced coconut shrimp and crème brûlée were highlights of your meal and be sure to check the menu upon your return to see if they have an alternative calamari dish as some of our items change seasonally. Sadly my experience was absolutely horrible and I did not even walk into the restaurant. I had booked 5 weeks in advance for a special 60th birthday and requested a special table ( with a lovely view ) for this momentous occasion. The day of my reservation I received a call to confirm we were coming. I said absolutely yes!! We are so excited and looking so forward to a wonderful evening. I confirmed that 5 weeks … 5 weeks .. prior I had asked for a ‘ special table with a view’ and wanted to make sure all was okay. I was told ‘ we can not guarantee that’ . I was quite confused - not sure why once you RESERVE a table ( 5 weeks prior) you do not have a specific table!? I asked to speak to someone that could help me understand this. Pete , a manger from what I understand, took the call and I explained my situation to which his reply was ‘ well you can go somewhere else’. My heart sank . I was so excited to enjoy a beautiful evening at a lovely location. I asked for help in understanding why I could not have a table with a view for a 60th celebration. Pete replied ‘ well we can’t guarantee it because everyone wants a nice table’ . I replied that I totally understood that and that is why I booked…. 5 weeks in advance! Pete continued that ‘ we have no idea what problems may arise so we can’t guarantee a table’ . I asked if a ‘problem’ meant someone more ‘important ‘ than me would show up and they would require the best table in the place for them? He replied ‘ yes…. I mean no..,’ He continued to say a problem could be ‘ the dining room could catch on fire and we’d need to move you’ . Wow- perhaps if you are

worried about the place burning down Pete you may want to check on your kitchen staff. I am a ‘ no one ‘ Pete you are correct, but I am a paying customer that will not recommend the Edgewater Manor to anyone. Funnily enough the 60th celebration was for a very important person to me that happens to work for a professional sports team . He would be what you’d consider a ‘ some one.’ He will also not recommend the Edgewater Manor to the many people he knows. He was glad I cancelled ( I did call to cancel as I know the restaurant industry has been hard hit through the pandemic and I did not want the servers to be impacted). And Pete thank you for your advice- we did ‘ go somewhere else’ and had a wonderful time and we were treated like we mattered. So much so that after our joyous evening of celebration we will be sharing with all of the ‘no ones ‘ and ‘some ones ‘ to frequent Cucci in Oakville! Bad move Pete - bad move. I am glad business is so good for you folks that you can treat people terribly and turn away business . I have never written a restaurant review but I was so mortified by the disrespect I felt I needed to warn others. Only go to Edgewater Manor if you ‘matter’ and you are a ‘someone’ important.

Venue and staff are great, but unfortunately the owner Peter is extremely unprofessional and his behaviour towards the women in my family was frankly disgusting. My sister-in-law just had her wedding here this weekend and Peter literally screamed and cursed at her and all her bridesmaids and mothers for a mistake that he made. He double booked the bridal sweet and threw a tantrum, screaming and cursing at the girls to leave the room when they arrived bringing some of them to tears and leaving my mother in law shaking because she was so upset. Imagine a grown man screaming at you on your wedding day for a mistake that he made. My wife tried to reason with him and he refused to speak with her. The women felt so degraded and appalled by his unacceptable behaviour towards them. This man should not be in business and frankly is a terrible human being for what he did. I warn anyone thinking of booking this venue for an event that the owner is impossible to deal with and I for one will never go back due to his horrific behaviour towards women.
