Let’s start with the prices: $19 for a small bratwurst, two basic-sized under-filled perogies that were heated up in the MICROWAVE!!!, and a scoop of sauerkraut is absurd. Not only was the portion ridiculously small, but I left feeling hungrier than when I arrived. For a place that’s consistently busy, they really ought to offer better value. The prices keep climbing while the portions keep shrinking…it feels like profit is the only priority now, and that’s a dealbreaker for me. Then there’s the service. Despite having plenty of staff, the place feels like total chaos. It’s disorganized, loud, and stressful, with employees running around like there’s no system in place. Simple tasks - like grabbing something from the deli or ordering a hot meal turn into exhausting errands. Serious management and training are desperately needed. And finally, the food. The quality has definitely declined over the past couple of years. I’m not sure what changed behind the scenes, but it’s noticeable, and not in a good way. Overall, this place has lost the charm and value it once had, and unless some major improvements happen, I won’t be back. Edelweiss Village in Calgary offers a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing visit. While the coffee I tried wasn't particularly good, the inviting ambiance and European-inspired decor make it a nice spot to unwind. The bakery looks delightful, and I’d love to explore more of their menu on a future visit. Overall, it’s a charming place worth checking out, even if the coffee didn't impress.
