We expected to be at the lock near Sambeek around 8 p.m. A call to the establishment was quickly made. If we reported before 8:30 PM, we could still enjoy a delicious dinner. After a long walk we were warmly greeted by Lillian. As soon as we sat down at the table, our four-legged friend was immediately provided with water. While enjoying a drink we studied the menu with enthusiasm. A plethora of choices stretched out before us. Lillian took our order and requests and brought us a basket of bread with homemade herb butter. The starter, main course (accompanied by a delicious bottle of Chardonnay) and dessert were a real treat for the senses. The ratio between price and quality is excellent. The service is exceptional. We highly recommend that you visit this well-maintained establishment where good food is of paramount importance.
