If you’re into vegetarian food or just want to try it, Do Chay is definitely the place to go in Vancouver. It’s incredible how they manage to make comfort food into amazing creations— both visually and taste wise. I’ve tried almost every single item on their menu and I’ve enjoyed them all. The place gets very busy, so we often do a takeout. They also have a very pleasant quiet street side patio dining space at the back of the restaurant. Amazing food!! We had satay noodles, eggplant and daikon cakes, all were tasty! We will have to come back to try other things on the menu. Makes me very happy to see a fully vegetarian menu! We also had a cocktail, it was good but found it a bit overpriced (the photo of the cocktail is the amount of serving, $14). Food: 5

The food is good, but the business practices are pretty disgusting. We have been long time customers, and we were gifted a $100 gift certificate. We spent about $60 on the meal, but the restaurant refused to allow a partial redemption of the gift certificate and forced a $40 tip with no way around this. Guess we will never come back again.
