We stopped by DeliGriek for a quick dinner as a small group of 6. Although it's more like a deli shop, their dinner is on par with most restaurants out there. They bring Greek salad on the house before the meal, which is always a nice surprise. The olive oil was tasty and the salad ingredients were fresh, with a good amount of dressing. We ordered a couple different items from their menu: pita gyros, mousaka, souzuki and stifado. The gyros was well-seasoned,but a bit on the dry side and served lukewarm only. Still much better than a lot of gyros out there, and great value for the amount of meat. The stews were tender and nicely done, but mousaka was one of the better mousaka I've had. The creaminess was just the right amount, you could still taste the meat. I was very satisfied with the service, not only our food arrived quickly but the staff is also really helpful and accommodating. The place is quite small and we didn't have any reservations, they still managed to bring together a large table for us. Overall we were quite happy with our meal there, their ingredients are fresh and good quality, and as a deli they have a decent selection of Greek products. I'd stop by to try their famous walnut cake (according to our waitress) if I'm in the neighborhood.
