For a long time, Croque du Nord was our first choice when it came to delicious croques. We always ordered our favorite croques here, and each time we were impressed. The bread in particular was second to none - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and always perfectly balanced. The salad was also always fresh and crunchy, which was a clear sign that it was carefully prepared and placed on the croque immediately before shipping. But unfortunately the picture has changed significantly in the last few months. The salad, which was once fresh and appetizing on the croque, unfortunately now arrives at us mushy and without its former freshness. I can't say exactly what is responsible for this, but it seems as if he was lying on the croque for far too long before he was delivered. Another problem is the bread, which used to be a real highlight. Unfortunately, almost every order now has it soggy and therefore loses both its taste and consistency. It almost seems as if some liquid or sauce has completely soaked the bread, losing the once perfect texture. Not long ago I happily and often recommended Croque du Nord to others – out of conviction. Today, however, this is difficult for me as what was once our favorite place for croques no longer offers the quality we once valued. With a heavy heart we will probably have to look for a new alternative, because unfortunately I can no longer recommend Croque du Nord in its current form.
