Total disappointment. I have already been to Cortile Alessi 3 times in recent months: taking advantage of the promos, my boyfriend and I always booked for dinner. We had a good time, so much so that we returned several times and recommended the place to relatives and acquaintances. The best dishes we chose were the milk-honey pig and the pizzas, with tasty and easily digestible dough. Already from the second time, however, the pig seemed less tasty, but we gave little importance to this detail because, overall, the dinner was very pleasant. The third time we went with a couple of friends and the piglet was significantly less tasty, a sign that the impression from the previous time had not been wrong. But let's get to today: the most total disaster. We book with the fork for 6 people for 1.30pm. We arrived very punctually: inside, the place was crowded and, despite the reservation, our table was located under a glass roof that let in too much sun. We asked if it was possible to have another table but, although the manager made herself available, the only space available was on the external staircase. At that point, we retraced our steps and occupied the table under the sun. It was exactly 1.35pm. Once seated, intent on choosing, we asked for water which arrived promptly. 10 minutes later, ready to book, we tried to catch the eye of a waiter to order but, after several "Here we come!", no one showed up. At this point, one of the guys at my table, raising his tone a little to make himself heard, called the attention of a waiter who, after yet another "I'll be right there", arrived after about 5 minutes. Finally we order: 2 portions of potatoes with fondue and a bowl of fried fish as appetizers. A pasta with tomato sauce, a plate of wild tagliolino, a plate of ground cutí busiate, a milk-honey pig, a pizza and a slice of beef. To drink: water and coke. After about 20 minutes, so at 2pm, a drink arrives. Usually, the drinks at the table come shortly before the dishes. USUALLY, in fact. 2.15pm passes, 2.30pm passes. The starters arrive and, with them, new diners who sit down, order and eat. 2.45pm passes, 3pm arrives. At 3.10pm, hungry and nervous, we ask for explanations. The only response was: sorry, we had a problem in the kitchen. The problem, however, only concerned our table since everyone else, despite having arrived later, had eaten first courses, second courses and desserts. If the kitchen had a problem, it should have a problem for all dishes, or not? Anyway, at 3.15pm, after yet another complaint, we are told "dishes are on the way out". 3.30pm: they are plating them. 3.40pm arrive. The tagliolini were tasteless, simple pasta with lettuce. The piglet didn't have salt grains or pink pepper. The rest was decent. Disappointed, we get up. I was mortified because the choice had been mine in light of previous good experiences. At the checkout, no one said anything, not even a "guys, can we offer you a dessert for the mix-up?". The bill was €130 (20% discount applied). When it came time to split the cost, the manager gave us a €10 discount to round things up. We paid and left disappointed and also a little hungry. Instead of gaining 4 new customers, you lost 7.
